The 2023-2024 FAFSA allows FAU to consider 学生 for Fall 2023, 2024年春季, 以及2024年夏季财政援助.

When the Federal Processor completes the analysis of your information, you will receive a  学生资助报告  (SAR). On this report the government will provide data regarding your Expected Family Contribution (成立分公司). It is what the Federal Government has determined that your household contributes towards your education, based on the information you provided on our FAFSA.

The Office of Student 金融援助 will then compute your financial need by taking the 出勤费用 estimate for your program (which is primarily a function of how many credits you are taking, 你计划的住房状况, and whether or not you are a Florida resident etc.), subtract from this the 成立分公司, and arrive at a determination of financial need.

我看 (出勤费用) - 成立分公司 (预期家庭贡献) =需要

You may be awarded combinations of fee waivers, 奖助金, 奖学金, subsidized loans up to this need level, depending on the availability of funds. These are defined as need based programs.

The information below includes changes to the 2024-2025 FAFSA as a result of the 简化法.

Starting with the 2024-2025 application, 学生 and anyone contributing income information to that student’s FAFSA, 比如父母或配偶, will first need to provide consent before financial aid eligibility can be determined

FAU的优先截止日期是4月 1st .  Meeting the priority deadline date allows you the best opportunity to be considered for the most aid types possible. All applications received after that date will be reviewed in order of receipt. 在线申请 节省时间和精力.

For help completing the FAFSA or questions related to the status of your FAFSA, please call the Federal Processor at (800) 433-3243 or the 财政援助办公室

申请经济援助后

When the Federal Processor completes the analysis of your information, you will receive a FAFSA Submission Summary. On this DOCUMENT the government will provide data regarding your Student Aid Index (SAI). It is an eligibility index number that FAU uses to determine how much federal aid a student would receive, based on the information provided on the FAFSA.

The Office of Student 金融援助 will then compute your financial need by taking the 出勤费用 estimate for your program (which is primarily a function of how many credits you are taking, 你计划的住房状况, and whether or not you are a Florida resident etc.), subtract from this the SAI and other financial assistance and arrive at a determination of financial need.

我看 (出勤费用) - SAI (Student Aid Index) - OFA Other Financial Assistance (OFA) =需要

Note: If your SAI is a negative number, it will be treated as a zero in this calculation. You may be offered combinations of fee waivers, 奖助金, 奖学金, subsidized loans up to this need level, depending on the availability of funds. These are defined as need based programs.

Students should check their FAU email and myFAU Self-Service portal for an update to 他们的财政援助状况
